by car likely seeing Caimans, Capybaras, Jabirus in nest,
Black-crowned night-herons and Pauraque nightjars. Better
in dark nights, when it's possible to see foxes, racoons,
deers and more. Take

RIDE ~7km, during ~3h along fields, savannahs and
wood islands. This route is possible even during
flood season, riding in the water. Take

trousers and shoes.

lunch and wildlife observation

RIDE along Claro river, starting ~4PM from POUSADA
RIO CLARO (KM42). Likely to see several riverside bird species
besides caymans and capybaras. At twilight, likely to see Nacunda
nighthawks and bats on flight. The way back may be trekking
in ~3km riverside trail. Take

CANOE
RIDE and piranha fishing in Bento Gomes bay at
POUSADA SÃO CRISTÓVÃO (KM40).

TRAIL, ~2km trek over board bridge into floodable
woods in ARARAS LODGE (KM32), until Howler Tower,
for landscape vision and possible meeting with black howler-monkeys
and other mammals besides reptiles and several birds.

to HOTEL FAZENDA SANTA TEREZA (KM63 + 2km acess) stopping
along the road for wildlife photos./ Check-in.

to see Giant Otters and other riverside species. Take

RIVERSIDE
TRAIL starting early to see more wildlife activity, ~3km
into gallery forest inside a Pixaim river's oxbow curve.

PIRANHA
FISHING is a good fun even for someone who never fished
before. Using meat as bait and bamboo canes, may be by canoe
or at the river bank.
